“THE LOFT” BY BRUSSELS AIRLINES AND LEXUS NAMED “EUROPE’S LEADING AIRLINE LOUNGE” FOR FOURTH CONSECUTIVE YEAR

  • Prestigious award voted for by lounge guests and travel industry professionals
  • Unique lounge concept continues to set the luxury standard for business travellers
  • THE LOFT’s stylish design echoes the craftsmanship of Lexus electrified cars

THE LOFT at Brussels Airport, created and managed by Brussels Airlines and Lexus, has been named ‘Europe’s Leading Airline Lounge 2022” at the prestigious World Travel Awards. The announcement was made last Saturday evening, at a red-carpet gala ceremony in the Hilton Hotel in Mallorca, attended by key decision-makers, influencers and media from travel, tourism and hospitality. THE LOFT lounge concept has claimed this prestigious accolade each year since it opened in 2018.

“Receiving this prestigious award - voted on by travel and tourism professionals as well as customers - for the fourth year, is a true recognition for our welcoming staff. They are invested in offering our guests a unique experience in THE LOFT, even in challenging circumstances. It has always been our mission, together with our partners who are driven by the highest quality, to make our guests feel taken care of every day. Thank you to the team and all involved partners for their relentless commitment in putting our customers first.” Peter Gerber, CEO at Brussels Airlines

“This award is an endorsement of The LOFT as a tangible expression of our brand promise to ‘experience amazing’,” comments Pascal Ruch, Toyota Motor Europe Vice-President in charge of Lexus Europe. “With its blend of Belgian creativity and Japanese Omotenashi hospitality, the lounge champions a peerless guest experience for the business traveller.”

“THE LOFT also marks our continued expansion as a global luxury lifestyle brand, where the design, craftsmanship and comfort which it showcases are mirrored in our latest range of electrified Lexus cars, such as the all-Electric RZ and Hybrid or Plug-in-Hybrid RX luxury SUVs.“

Offering more than 2,000m2, the lounge divides into areas with distinctive ambiences, including a central bar, comfortable seating zones and a break-out space for those working on the move. Iconic Lexus design elements characterise the space, including detailing from the Lexus signature grille, Lexus library and a Mark Levinson audio system.

On entering THE LOFT, guests are greeted with bespoke touches such as the personal welcome and traditional warm Oshibiri towels. They can relax with a wide array of digital newspapers in Lexus LS-like shiatsu massage chairs, enjoy the extra-sensory Grohe shower suites or take a refreshing nap in a bedroom with starlit ceiling, before savouring the fine catering which includes exclusive delights from a Neuhaus maître chocolatier.

THE LOFT at Brussels Airport draws on award-winning INTERSECT BY LEXUS brand spaces in Dubai and Tokyo. The unique airline lounge concept was inspired by Lexus luxury, design and the traditional Japanese Omotenashi hospitality, which centres on anticipating a guest’s needs even before they do.

Lexus Brand Ambassadors welcome guests in THE LOFT each day from 5 am till 9 pm. More information on THE LOFT by Brussels Airlines and Lexus can be found at: THE LOFT By Lexus | Lexus Europe.
