Lexus has announced record-breaking global sales in 2024, the total rising by 3.3% on 2023’s figures to 851,214 units.

Europe played a significant role in delivering these results, with a +20% increase in its new car sales performance to 88,184 vehicles. This gave its largest share yet of the region’s premium market at 2.5%.

Strong customer demand also delivered growth in North America, where annual sales volume was up 6.7%, and Asia.

On the global stage, the new LBX urban crossover and LM luxury mover were well received and the core RX large luxury SUV and NX mid-size SUV models continued to perform well. The battery electric RZ SUV range and UX 300e crossover achieved a 19% increase in sales, increasing the electrified model mix to a record 52%.

In Europe, the electrified vehicle performance grew by +24% year-on-year to 80,088 sales, accounting for 91% of Lexus sales. In the brand’s Western European market, the mix was 99%.

The top three models in Europe were the NX (26,635 units); LBX (23,018); and RX (13,772).

Announcing the global results today, Lexus International President Takashi Watanabe said: “We would like to thank each and every customer around the world for their continued support of Lexus vehicles. In 2024, we launched the all-new LBX and GX, offering a new value experience that has been highly praised by many customers. Additionally, the new Toyota Technical Center Shimoyama (TTC-S) has begun full-scale operations, giving us the opportunity to launch a new development framework as a company.

“In 2025, we are set to debut new models and showcase innovative concepts. We remain committed to reshaping the future of mobility through innovative engineering and enhancing lifestyles with customer-focused services. Our goal is to continue providing the distinctive value that defines the Lexus experience.”
