Lexus is adding extra dynamic sporting style appeal to the NX mid-size crossover with the addition of new Sport edition. It is the first expansion of the NX line-up since the new model was introduced last year, following the pattern established by the Sport versions of the Lexus RX luxury SUV and CT premium hatchback in creating a sportier look at a competitive price point.
Available for both Comfort and Business grade models, the new Sport edition introduces eye-catching black exterior details, including the horizontal bars and frame1 of the signature spindle grille and the door mirror housings.
The wheels, too, add extra impact to the NX’s street appearance, with new 18-inch cast alloys. According to market, these have contrasting dark and bright machined finish, or a striking new design in two-tone dark/bronze.
The cabin strikes an equally sporting note with the option of an all-black interior finish, highlighted by white accents (available on Business grade) in the trim and upholstery (cloth upholstery for Comfort models; supple, leather-effect Tahara for Business grade). Other colour options are Black or Dark Rose; all feature silver trim inserts as standard.
The new Sport edition models will be available from summer this year, for the NX 300h self-charging hybrid, with front or all-wheel drive, the turbo petrol-powered NX 300 and normally aspirated NX 200[2].
