The 10^th year of the annual awards – “Kiwami” being a Japanese word expressing “outstanding excellence” – has seen 16 Lexus Centres honoured, from among more than 300 eligible businesses.

Omotenashi is a Lexus core principle, based on the finest traditions of Japanese hospitality where people’s every need is anticipated and catered for. This extends from the comfort, luxury and convenience designed into every Lexus vehicle, to the care and attention given to all customers. It is this commitment to outstanding service quality which differentiates the Lexus brand within the industry. The interaction between dealer and customer is an integral and consistent part of the overall luxury experience.

This year’s awards reached their climax in Oxford, a British city that is rich in history and culture and respected worldwide as a centre of learning and academic excellence. Representatives from the winning retailers joined Lexus executives for a three-day programme of activities from 31 August to 2 September. Their varied itinerary included craftsmanship skills learning, team challenges on the River Thames and sampling traditional British hospitality. The climax was a graduation-style awards presentation ceremony in the historic surroundings of the University of Oxford’s Brasenose College.

Since their introduction in 2016, the Kiwami (“outstanding excellence”) Awards have highlighted the dedication and innovation of our retailers. With more than 340 official Lexus centres eligible this year, the level of competition and achievement has been truly inspiring.

This year, 19 retailers have been recognised for their exceptional business performance and their commitment to delivering the unique Lexus experience, defined by “Omotenashi” hospitality. Each winner embodies our philosophy of ‘making luxury personal’, with retailer staff demonstrating exceptional attention to detail—not only in how they prepare for every customer interaction, but in every aspect of their day-to-day operations. This dedication ensures that every guest is treated with the care and consideration reserved for someone welcomed into one’s home.

This year, 17 retailers have been recognised for both their business achievements and an exceptional level of customer service that delivers uniquely Lexus “Omotenashi” hospitality. In essence, this treats every customer with the care and attention to detail that would be extended to a guest in the home, reinforcing the Lexus’ principle of “making luxury personal”.

The Kiwami (“outstanding excellence”) Awards were introduced in 2016 and this year more than 340 official Lexus retailers were eligible for consideration across Europe.

This years’ winners are being rewarded with a four-day event in Norway (June 28th to July 1st), including an electrification fact finding and best practice sharing, a gala dinner, and opportunities to enjoy spectacular landscapes with hiking and fjord expeditions.

Lexus Europe has revealed the 2023 winners of the annual Kiwami Awards, which recognise how retail partners play a crucial role in delighting customers with their vehicle ownership experience. From 315 retailers across Europe, the 10 best retailers are awarded for making luxury personal through exceptional customer-focus in both sales and aftersales.

The Kiwami (meaning “Outstanding Excellence”) Awards originated seven years ago as part of Lexus’ commitment to Omotenashi, the ancient Japanese philosophy of hospitality. This philosophy has been a cornerstone of the Lexus brand since its inception in 1989 – and while Lexus strives to achieve the highest standards of Omotenashi in all areas of business, so too do its retailers. This means that retailers treat each customer as if they were a guest in their own home.

Praising the award winners, Pascal Ruch, TME Vice President in charge of Lexus Europe, said: “This is a fantastic achievement which is only possible through strong leadership, teamwork, and continuous focus on Omotenashi, ensuring that all our customers ‘Experience Amazing’.”

A special recognition for their Excellence has been awarded to 2 out of the 10 Retailers for winning the Kiwami Award for the 3^rd year, Lexus Romerike (Norway), and 4^th year, Lexus Osnabrück (Germany).

Each winning retailer has been invited to a 4-day trip in Venice during the Venice International Film Festival, from August 31^st to September 3^rd. They could experience amazing by discovering no less than 9 exclusive spots, outside of any tourist program and tailor-made to provide them with a unique Venice ‘s Laguna Experience. The 10 winning retailers ended their exceptional trip as VIP guests to the Venice Film Festival where Lexus is Official Car sponsor since 2017.
